The Robotics and Drones Academy is one of the new exciting Corpus Christi Independent School District’s programs housed at Moody and is open to students in the CCISD attendance zones. If you are a students who loves flying drones and building robots for it, then this may be the academy to apply to!
The purpose of this program is to introduce to the students the occupations and education opportunities related to operating or designing an unmanned aircraft using a ground-based controller and the system of communication between the controller and the aircraft.
This program will focus on careers in planning and management and movement of people, materials and goods by road, pipeline, air, rail and water. In includes professional support services in logistics services, mobile and equipment maintenance. Students will have the opportunity to earn their Part 107 Remote Drone Pilot Certificate.
Admission in the Robotics and Drones Academy strictly by application. Students can only be admitted in the program in Grade 9. Students who successfully complete the program will earn the Business and Industry graduation or the STEM endorsement.
