The Moody P-TECH (Pathways in Technology Early College High School) Academy is a new early college program at Moody. It provide with a bifurcated academic pathway to EITHER Construction or Welding in partnership with Del Mar College
The Carpentry pathway explores the occupations and educational opportunities related to constructing, installing, or repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, such as concrete forms (including frameworks, partitions, joists, studding, rafters, and stairways). Students will have the opportunity to earn their OSHA 30 Construction as well as the NCCER Core Certificate.
The Welding Pathway explore the development and use of automatic and computer-controlled machines, tools and robots that perform work on metal or plastic. Students will have the opportunity to earn their AWS Certified Welder D1 as well as the NCCER Welding Level 1.
Admission into the P-TECH Academy is strictly by application. Students can only be admitted in grade 9. Students who successfully complete the program will earn the Business and Industry graduation endorsement.
