About the Law Enforcement Academy

The Law Enforcement Program is one of the exciting Corpus Christi Independent School District’s magnet programs housed at Moody. The Law Enforcement Program is open to all students in the CCISD attendance zone with the exception of those who are scheduled to go to King High School. This is because King also has a Law Enforcement program and those students must go to King.

The purpose of this program is to provide students with an education and the experiences needed for entering the law enforcement and public safety careers. The program also allows for students to begin earning college credits toward a career in law enforcement while in high school. Students in the program become members of the Corpus Christi ISD Police Explorers’ program- a career-oriented platform that gives young adults the opportunity to explore a career in law enforcement by working with local law enforcement agencies. It also promotes character building and citizenship training.

Admission in the Law Enforcement Program is strictly by application.  Students can only be admitted in the program in Grade 9.
