About the Law Enforcement Academy

The Law Enforcement Program is one of the exciting Corpus Christi Independent School District’s programs housed at Moody. The Law Enforcement Program is open only for students in the CCISD Moody attendance zone.

The purpose of this program is to provide students with an education and the experiences needed for entering the law enforcement and public safety careers. It teaches students about the development of, adherence to, and protection of various branches of law. Students learn how to appropriately and legally respond to breaches of law according to statutory rules and regulations. The program also allows for students to begin earning college credits toward a career in law enforcement. It also promotes character building and citizenship training. Students will have the opportunity to earn their Non-Commissioned Security Officer Level II Certificate.

Admission in the Law Enforcement Academy is strictly by application. Students can only be admitted in the program in Grade 9. Students who successfully complete the program will earn the Public Service graduation endorsement.
